Eligibility criteria for the Canada Express Entry Visa

Some of the most important eligibility criteria for this immigration system are:

• You need to indulge in a language test and provide the score results. The scores of the language tests work only for two years.
• If you are an applicant from overseas, then, you have to present your Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report lists. This report needs to be parallel to the Canadian education system. The report of the ECA works only for five years.

UNDERSTANDING THE CANADA EXPRESS ENTRY DRAW

In order to choose the best candidates for the Invitation to apply, the IRCC launches a draw. This draw is called the Canada Express Entry Draw as well. There are qualifying marks for each and every draw. So, when a candidate gets the qualifying or the more marks, the ITA is sent via IRCC.

The candidates who submit the EOI or the Expression of Interest are supposed to earn points via Express Entry System. The system takes multiple factors such as the age, qualification, language proficiency, work experience and others in order to give scores. This ranking system is called the Comprehensive Ranking System or CRS. Hence, the overall score of a candidate is also called the CRS Score.

• Make sure you have amazing proficiency in your language to attain high scores in the language tests.
• Try to attain a valid job offer for higher ranking.
• Provide work experience that is relevant to the skills you have. This will get you more points.
• Try to get a provincial or territorial nomination. This brings valuable points in your CRS score.
• Make sure that your educational qualification is valid and accurate.

Step 1 - Complete the Online Express Entry Profile

To be a candidate, you need to complete the profile on the online Express Entry system by providing all the necessary details such as:

• Work Experience
• Skills
• Language Ability
• Education

And all the other details required by the CIC for the assessment.

Step 2 - The process of getting qualified for the pool

Once you have completed the profile, the assessment process starts in order to accept the qualified candidates into the pool.

• All the candidates are assessed and provided with the suitable ranks.
• The high rankers who have the valid job offers or the provincial nominations receive the invitation to apply.
• If you don’t have a job offered or the nomination from a province, then, you are required to register with the Employment and Social Development Canada’s Job Bank.
• You will get connected to the eligible employers in Canada via Job bank.

Step 3 - The invitation to apply for the permanent residence

After the assessment, the points are given accordingly that generates scores for the CRS. The highest scorers get the invitation to apply for the permanent residence.

• If you get the ITA or the Invitation to apply, you are required to submit your online application within 90 days of the period.
• The received, complete permanent residence applications go under the further process conducted by IRCC. This takes 6 months’ maximum.
• You stay in the pool for 12 months. If you donot get the invitation to apply within this period, then, you are required to submit a new profile.

 

What is the IELTS score required for Canada?

The score in IELTS required for Canada PR is 6.0 in all the bands. However, with a higher score in this exam, you can immigrate to Canada quickly. You must have, CLB 8 which is 6.5 in all the bands excluding listening which needs a score of 7.5. A candidate can also get Canadian PR with a lower score in IELTS provided he has NCLC 7 score in French. Then a candidate can get the Canadian PR with a CLB4-CLB5 provided he scores well on the other eligibility criteria.

How much does it cost for Express Entry to Canada?

An Express Entry application costs someone 1040(550+490) CAD. Both these fees are paid once the candidate gets the designated approval from the IRCC. After these fees have been paid, the candidate can then look forward to the issuance of the COPR(confirmation of permanent residence) to him.  The fees of 490 CAD are refundable when the candidate’s application is not found up to the mark by the IRCC even though he had received an invite. The application can be rejected once there is some problem with a candidate’s documents.

The candidate should know that since 550 CAD is the processing fees for him and his family’s PR application, it’s not refundable.

How long does it take to get Express Entry to Canada?

Can I go to Canada without a job offer?

Yes, the country of Canada, does not require someone to have a job offer except into some states. While immigrating under the process of Express Entry a candidate only needs to have points which are equal to those yielded in the latest Express Entry Draw. So, if he does not score many points as per the Canadian points system, on the basis of a job offer coupled with LMIA in Canada, then he should either have someone residing in this country or have good English.

If he does not have these many points, then he can apply to provinces depending on whether he has work experience/job offer/education in a province.

What is Canada Express Entry visa?

The Canada Express Entry visa is the immigration system introduced by the government in 2015. It is the most precise immigration system which only selects candidates based on whether; they have the minimum threshold of points.
