The Canadian universities do have their specific requirement for IELTS, however Canadian study visa does not need that. Most of the universities in Canada have a specific requirement of 6.5 in IELTS for undergraduate courses.
However, once the candidate decides to do a course such as ESL(English as a second language) from Canada, he does not need to provide a score in IELTS. You cant get the points for this course in the Canada PR scheme. For you to get points, for any kind of Canadian education, it’s mandatory that the duration of such course is for 1 year or more. This kind of education must have been done after the 12th standard.
So, IELTS is a mandatory requirement for all the universities in this country. Universities have also given recognition to TOEFL for granting admission in undergraduate courses. The students should have scored 80 in this exam to be considered applicable for the admission. Apart from IELTS/TOEFL/PTE, the candidates also must give exams such as SAT when appearing for undergraduate courses. This exam is required in some colleges and not in every college, however, if a student’s GPA in 12th does not meet this minimum standard, he has to appear for this exam. The requirement for MBA is different and when a candidate is taking admission in that kind of a course, he should sit in the GMAT exam.
Even PTE academic results are also eligible for getting admission in such universities. The scores should be nothing less than 58/90. There are studies in many subjects which are eligible for an award of scholarships. For example, the Global Study Awards scholarship provides students with one-time scholarship amount of RS 9,07,000, This scholarship amount is available for Bachelors, Masters and Ph.D. programs. It can be used to meet the expenses which have been done by a student on his tuition and living costs in Canada. However, only 2 students can get this scholarship amount. Students should know, that they should hurry up to apply for this scholarship and the application date should not exceed 20th July of this year. Apart from Canada, students of almost 239 countries can apply for this scholarship and get it.
